Originally designed as a paddle for women, the stylus is fast becoming my favourite solo style paddle. It’s main features are that it is lighter and pulls less water than my other blade shapes. The design element is basically a trimmed down version of my Algonquin guide paddle without the northwoods grip. The Stylus’ narrow tip allows for smoother entry and exits and the wider shoulder transfers the power at the right time. The blade really cuts through the water ultra smoothly and people who use it say they feel it’s easier to paddle.
The blade is 27 inches long and 4 7/8 wide. This is a great paddle in the bow and for solo style paddling.
