The Solo is a fun paddle but takes a bit of time to get used to because
of the length of the blade. Instructors use it paddling classic
Canadian style (canoe heeled over with the gunwale almost in the water)
to carefully carve out precision moves with in-water recoveries.
Control is the name of the game. Blade dimensions are: 32" long by
4.25" at its widest point (centre of blade). These specs. are standard
with paddles 58" to 60" in length. With shorter and longer paddles,
the blade and shaft are lengthened or shortened in 1" increments.
